This release adds improvements and bug fixes to v1.39.1 on Windows and Mac. The download link is at the bottom of the page.
We recommend that you back-up important transform files before installing any new release. Please let us know of any problems or issues you encounter with the release.
You can uninstall old releases after you have successfully installed this version.
Windows and Mac
1. Previously Run>Run Selected only processed currently selected items and any unprocessed items upstream. However trying to keep unprocessed column-related options consistent downstream has proved problematic. So Run>Run Selected now also processes any items downstream of the currently selected items. We might revisit this behaviour in future. Please let us know if you come across any issues where changes to a transform causes column-related options to get out of synch downstream.
2. You can now choose to copy data from the Right pane dataset table either with or without the header. Thanks to Richard S. for suggesting this.
3. The Stats transform now has additional Calculation options Percentile (inclusive) and Percentile (exclusive). These are equivalent to Excel PERCENTILE.INC() and PERCENTILE.EXC(). See the Stats documentation for more details.
4. The Row Num transform now has an additional New Column Name option.
5. There is now an additional file name variable {<input alias>.folder}. This is replaced with the folder (directory) of the input with alias <input alias>. It does not include the final folder delimiter. E.g. If the input with alias orders is using file C:\Users\andy\Documents\orders_2020.csv then {orders.folder} is replaced with C:\Users\andy\Documents. Thanks to Raul A. for the suggestion.
6. the Stats transform now outputs warnings if there are columns or rows it cannot calculate a value for.
7. If Run>Auto Run is unchecked Run>Run Unprocessed or Run Selected will now also try to re-run items with errors (which might be transitory). Thanks to @yorkeman for suggesting this.
8. Fixed a bug where deleting a transform could cause column-related options to get out of sync downstream.
