Easy Data Transform v1.46.4
For Windows and Mac

This release adds improvement and bug fixes to v1.46.3 on Windows and Mac. The download link is at the bottom of the page.

You can uninstall old releases after you have successfully installed this version.

We recommend that you back-up important transform files before installing any new release.

Please let us know of any problems or issues you encounter with the release.

Windows and Mac

1. In the Input Extensions and Output Extensions tabs of the Preferences window, you can now blacklist file extensions to stop Easy Data Transform reading from or writing to that file type. Attempting to read or write a file with an extension in the blacklist will result in an error. You will also be blocked from adding inputs or outputs with files with blacklisted extensions. The blacklist applies to the command line as well as the user interface.

Blacklisting extensions such as .exe, .dll and .bat helps to protect you against accidental overwrites of important files and from running .transform file sent with malicious intent.

2. The Calculate transform has additional operation WordCount. Words are considered as sequences of non-whitespace/punctuation characters separated by one or more whitespace/punctuation characters.

3. You can now add a gradient effect to custom color schemes.

The gradient effect is purely cosmetic. It works best for darker color schemes.

4. Added new ‘Quartzite’, ‘Sapphire’ and ‘Obsidian’ color schemes to Preferences>Colors.

5. Fixed the following 2 issues in CSV parsing:

• If an escaped quote was directly followed by a linefeed, it was incorrectly parsed into columns.
• If an opening quote was directly followed by a carriage return then a linefeed, the carriage return was omitted.

6. Reverted the change where setting focus to a Note item moved the focus to the Right pane, as this made it awkward to delete Note items.
