1. Previous versions of Easy Data Transform used Intel binaries on Mac. This means that newer Macs with Apple silicon (ARM M1 and M2) were using Rosetta2 emulation to run Easy Data Transform. This new release contains both ARM and Intel binaries together in a Universal (fat) binary, so it can run natively on both ARM and Intel Macs.
Preliminary tests show that Intel performace is unaffected, while ARM performance is between 16% and 37% faster on real jobs.
The download size has increased somewhat as it now contains 2 binaries, instead of 1.
Thanks to those that helped with preliminary testing.
If you feel like sharing performance improvement figures, then please post them on the forum.
