System requirements

Windows: 64 bit Windows 11/10/8/7 (Intel processor) or 64 bit Windows 11 (ARM processor).
Mac: macOS 15.x to 10.13 (Universal Binary for Intel or ARM M series processors).

Compatibility

This version can read .transform files saved in all previous versions.

Windows and Mac

1. There is now an additional Remove option in the Subtract transform.

2. There is now an ignore empty values for concat option in the Unique transform. When this is checked, empty values are ignored for Concat and Concat unique columns. Thanks to @mk2109 for the suggestion.

3. There is now a case sensitive option in the Unique transform. When this is checked, case is taken account of for Keep unique matching.

4. Selecting a Verify transform was previously slow, if the dataset had a lot if columns. It is now significantly faster. However the Expand all button is likely to be slow if there are 100s or 1000s of columns.

5. Filter has been speeded up significantly for date values. It is 10x faster in some tests.

6. Ids are now shown for items compared in the Compare Headers and Compare Data windows.

7. The last character could be truncated when copying text with Mac line endings (Line Feed) from the clipboard as fixed width text. The header was also sometimes incorrect. This is now fixed. Thank you to @Monotone94 for reporting this.

8. Some things that Easy Data Transform views as numbers are not valid numbers in JSON files. For example, none of the following are considered valid JSON numbers:

1,234
01234
00.0

These will now be output as JSON strings by default. For more information see the forum post why numbers cannot have leading zeros in JSON. Thank you to Michael S. for reporting this.

9. Run>Run unprocessed sometimes showed when all items were processed. This is now fixed.

10. The layout and pagination of the PDF version of the help has been improved.

Windows only

11. The Windows installer now has a more modern look.

Mac only

12. If you upgrade to macOS 15.x, you should no longer get this warning in the console:

WARNING: Secure coding is not enabled for restorable state! Enable secure coding by implementing NSApplicationDelegate.applicationSupportsSecureRestorableState: and returning YES.
