This release adds enhancements and bug fixes to Easy Data Transform v2.1.0.
You will require a v2 license to use this release after the free trial has expired. You can buy a new license key here or, if you have a v1 license key, you can buy a discounted upgrade here. See also our upgrade FAQ.
We recommend that you back-up important .transform files before installing any new release.
Please let us know of any problems or issues you encounter with the release.

Windows: 64 bit Windows 11/10/8/7 (Intel processor) or 64 bit Windows 11 (ARM processor).
Mac: macOS 15.x to 10.13 (Universal Binary for Intel or ARM M series processors).
Compatibility
This version can read .transform files saved in all previous versions.
Windows and Mac
1. The Calculate transform can now accept either a column or a single value as the first value for binary operations. Previously the first value had to be a column.
2. The Fill and Unfill transforms now have a new For option to only fill/unfill when the adjacent cells have the same value in a key column. This only works when filling/unfilling up or down (not left/right).

3. You can now preview the data in an item without selecting that item. Hover the mouse over an item in the Center pane and press the # key to display the Data Preview window.
You can press the # key again to close the window. If the # key is not convenient on your keyboard, you can use the = key instead. Thanks to Tim P. for suggesting this.
4. You can now filter columns by column name in the Column Values window.
5. The sizing of the Verify transform in the Right pane has been improved.
6. The layout and sizing of the Data Compare window has been improved.
7. If you check watch file on an input and the file changes, Easy Data Transform will wait until the file has not been modified for 5 seconds before it reads the file. This is to try and avoid reads while the file is still being written.
8. An issue with the enabling status of View>Compare Headers… and View>Compare Data… has been fixed.
9. Fixed an issue where the number of verification fails shown in the data table horizontal header tooltip was sometimes over counted.
10. Fixed an issue where setting watch file on an input that was being continually written to could cause a crash. Thanks to John B. for reporting this.
11. If an input item has an error (e.g. due to a missing file or schema error) items downstream are left with status ‘Needs updating’, rather being set to status ‘Error’. This is more consistent with transform processing and makes it clearer where the problem is.
