This release adds enhancements and bug fixes to Easy Data Transform v2.3.0.
You will require a v2 license to use this release after the free trial has expired. You can buy a new license key here or, if you have a v1 license key, you can buy a discounted upgrade here. See also our upgrade FAQ.
We recommend that you back-up important .transform files before installing any new release.
Please let us know of any problems or issues you encounter with the release.

System requirements
Windows: 64 bit Windows 11/10/8/7 (Intel processor) or 64 bit Windows 11 (ARM processor).
Mac: macOS 15.x to 10.13 (Universal Binary for ARM M series or Intel processors).
Compatibility
This version can read .transform files saved in all previous versions.
Windows and Mac
1. You can now set the column name for the Stamp transform when Position is set to Every row. Thanks to @joker for the suggestion.
2. You can now set the column name in the Meta Information window when Input item Meta info is set to Every row. Thanks to @_sh for the suggestion.
3. You can now double click on some cells in the Column Values window to drilldown and see the corresponding rows in the dataset.
You can also drilldown to see rows with duplicate values. Click the headers in the Duplicates Drilldown window to sort by Duplicate Value or Count.
You can also drilldown to see rows corresponding to the most/least frequent values.

4. The transform menu is now updated with options to show the 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30 transforms that are:
- last used (the n transforms most recently added by the user)
- most used (the n transforms most often added by the user)
Recording this data only starts with v2.4.0. So you won’t see these menu items until you have added at least 10 transforms using v2.4.0 or later.
Thank you to various people for suggestions related to this.
5. The following additional file name variables have been added:

| {year} | Current year (4 digits). |
| {hour} | Current hour of the day (2 digits). |
| {minute} | Current minute of the hour (2 digits). |
| {second} | Current second of the minute (2 digits). |
| {computername} | The name of the computer. |
| {username} | The name of the user (from the USER or USERNAME environment variable). |
You can use these as part of file names in outputs.
6. Automatic processing is delayed while you are clicking the mouse or pressing keyboard keys with the focus in the Right pane.
7. Any error messages output by the command line interface are now shown in red.

On Windows, this only seems to work on Windows 11.
8. Any transform errors (e.g. Error fails in a Verify transform) are now output to the command line, if -verbose is set.
9. Fixed an issue where processing was sometimes attempted for items downstream from items with an error (e.g. a Verify error fail).
10. Fixed an issue where a file path already being used as an input or output was suggested as a new file name.
11. A window with an animated GIF now appears the first time you add an input, to help you work out how to add a transform.
12. The ‘How do I?’ button is colored red until you click it or have run EDT more than 10 times. This is to draw the attention of new users.
13. Animated gif images have been removed from the PDF version of the help.
