We recommend that you back-up important .transform files before installing any new release.
Please let us know of any problems or issues you encounter with the release.

Windows: 64 bit Windows 11/10/8/7 (Intel processor) or 64 bit Windows 11 (ARM processor).
Mac: macOS 15.x to 10.13 (Universal Binary for ARM M series or Intel processors).
This version can read .transform files saved in all previous versions.
1. A new UUID transform has been added. It allows you to add a column of Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs).
A Universally Unique Identifier is used to uniquely identify objects in computer systems. It is also known as a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID).
Each time the transform is run, it will create a different set of UUIDs.
Thanks to Bryan C. and @prashant for the suggestion.
2. A new Reshape transform has been added. It allows you to reshape the values of a dataset into a different number of columns. The new number of rows is calculated automatically.
3. Select View>Item Summary (or click the new toolbar button) to display a window summarising all the items in the Center pane.
Thanks to @Olaf and @Monotone94 for feedback.
4. Added Range to the Calculation option of the Moving transform. This shows the maximum - minimum value in each interval.
5. The Compare Data window has a new Show dropdown list. Set it to:
6. Previously right clicking and selecting Duplicate Branch could result in some column options being unset in the new branch. This is now fixed. Thanks to Miguel S.M. for reporting this.
7. It is easy to accidentally select a connection as well as an input or transform, when adding a new transform or output. Previously this resulted in an error message. Now the selected connections are ignored if you have selected 1 or more inputs or transform items.
Note that you can still insert a transform between 2 existing transforms by selecting just the connection, then adding the transform.
8. Check move Note items with associated items in the General tab of the Preferences window, if you want Note items to be automatically moved when you drag other items that the notes are adjacent to and pointing at.
Thanks to Rafal P. for the suggestion.
9. You are now prompted whether you want to change the file Type, when you change the extension of an input or output item to one associated with a different file type. Also when you paste what looks like a different format into a Clipboard input item. Thanks to msmelo for the suggestion.
10. There is now additional information in the Info tab if you output to Excel with Formatting set to Automatic.
11. There is now additional information in the Info tab for the Sort transform.
12. The error message has been improved if you try to import a 0 sized Excel file.
13. The number of decimal places in the Column Values window has been reduced to 3, for improved readability.
14. Previously Title case in the Case transform didn’t correctly handle Unicode characters of type Mn (Nonspacing Mark), such as the ‘combining grave accent’. This is now fixed. Thanks to Giorgio LS for reporting this.
15. Fixed an issue where a help window could appear during command line processing.
16. Fixed a misleading error message when a .transform file with unknown transforms is opened, e.g. because the .transform is from a newer version of EDT.
