Easy Data Transform v1.38.0 released
Easy Data Transform v1.38.0 is now available for Windows and Mac. Improvements include:
- The Split Col transform now has an additional Lengths option.
- You can now filter columns in the Characters tab of the Right pane.
- There are now navigation buttons in the Characters pane.
- The Split Col transform now shows additional warning messages.
- Reading from an Excel sheet with no data now returns an empty dataset, rather than an error.
- Fixed a potential backward compatibility issue with If transforms affecting v1.36.0 to v1.37.1.
- Additional ‘How do I?’ pages.

Backward compatility issue
We have tried to keep backward compatibility right back to the first release of Easy Data Transform. Unfortunately we introduced a backward compatibility issue in v1.36.0. It is fairly obscure, but it could cause incorrect results in some circumstances. If you have any .transform files that meet all the following criteria:
- .transform file created before v1.36.0; and
- contains an If transform with an Is empty or Is not empty comparison; and
- was run in v1.36.0 to v1.37.1
Then the result might be incorrect and you should re-run the .transform again with this v1.38.0 release.
