Various AIs have been aggressively crawling our website and documentation. Consequently, you can get some useful answers to Easy Data Transform related questions from AIs. However, you can also get completely wrong answers, delivered with great confidence. And it is hard to tell which is which.
For example, we asked Microsoft Copilot how to do ‘one hot encoding’ in Easy Data Transform (before the new One hot encoding option was added to Split Col). It came back with a fulsome explanation, including this summary table of the transforms required:

Just one problem - only 1 of these 4 transforms actually exists (Split Col). It just hallucinated (made up) the other 3!
We also had a customer ask us what had happened to the time zone conversion feature in v1. They included a ChatGPT explanation of how to do time zone conversion in v1. However, this feature did not exist in v1 (we have just added it in this release). The AI had hallucinated it. Weirdest of all, ChatGPT even hallucinated an AI fever-dream screenshot of Easy Data Transform, with the non-existent feature!

The icons are a bit messed up, otherwise it looks plausible. We find this simultaneously impressive and terrifying.
So beware of answers from AIs. You are much more likely to get an accurate answer on our forum.
It hopefully goes without saying, that we wouldn’t trust an AI to actually do any data transformation.
A scan of 600 scientific papers revealed 18 with suspicious data sequences. These sequences could be due to careless copy and paste or outright data fabrication.
Scientific datasets are riddled with copy-paste errors

We would be interested to hear from any customers using Easy Data Transform for fraud/forensic investigation of data.
